I use a very old Logitech quick cam. It's a quickcam fusion that I bought circa 2007. I just plugged it in the USB port on my windows 8.1 Acer computer, and windows automatically installed the correct driver. I have no idea what driver it is, but it works. I didn't have to manually install any software or drivers. I use it for google hangouts video chat, and I assume it would also work fine for skype too.
It doesn't look like you can use 8.4.8 software (I don't think), but windows should install the correct driver when you plug it in automatically. But there are so many quickcam models.....it's possible that some really old quickcams aren't supported.

How is logitech up to speed with windows 7 drives? I was able to use my MX bluetooth with vista and had no issues and now can not get any drives for windows 7. Anyone know where or when to get the drivers? 2ff7e9595c
